Madison Sportive Softshell Jacket

First impressions from our staff on the new Madison Sportive jacket.

Here at Cycle Gear we have two members of staff that tend to commute every day of the week, even the rainy ones.

Now most people know that if you have the correct clothing it makes commuting life a hell of a lot easier. What most people don’t agree on however is what clothing is better. We are lucky at Cycle Gear that we have the chance to pick and choose the best items from all the brands we stock both in store and online meaning both riders outfits vary in items. One will have Sealskinz gloves while the other will have 661/Madison winter gloves, one will have Shimano overshoes while the other Altura.

Both however wear the same jacket, Madison Sportive. This jacket is excellent.

Windproof, Thermal and it even has waterproof panels. The quality of the jacket and the material it’s made out of makes it feel like a jacket with a much higher price tag.

After being caught in the icy rain coming from Halifax to Queensbury with head on winds of 100+ MPH this jacket never faulted. Not once did I feel the cold or the wet.

This jacket needs to be a must have in every bodies wardrobe.
